ABOUT US

Since December 2014, Sophiearth Hotel has been offering affordable accommodation services in the central Shinjuku area. Our prime location allows guests easy access to most of Tokyo's tourist sites. Kabukicho is just a 5-minute walk away, Korea Town is a 3-minute walk, the Tokyo Metropolitan Building is a 10-minute walk, and Shinjuku Gyoen is a 12-minute walk. Other famous sites are conveniently reachable by train.

ACCESS

Here are the ways to come from Shin-Okubo Station and Higashi-Shinjuku Station. Additionally, instructions on how to come from Narita Airport and Haneda Airport are provided.

Shin Okubo Station

There is only one exit at Shin-Okubo Station. Upon exiting the station, turn right and walk for about 500 meters until you reach the 100-yen shop (Can Do). From the 100-yen shop, continue straight for about 150 meters until you reach the DIY store. Passing the DIY store, you will come to the first traffic light, where you will find a narrow alley. On one side, there is a real estate agency, and on the other side, there is an Osteopath hospital. Enter that alley and walk for about 80 meters until you see the sign for Sophiearth Hotel.

Higashi Shinjuku Station

Come out through Exit B and walk along the adjacent alley until you reach a dead end. At the end, turn right and walk 10 meters to find us.

Haneda Airport

Limousine Bus

Ride a limousine bus from the airport to the Shinjuku Station (JPY 1,300, 45 mins). From the Shinjuku Station, you can either walk 15 minutes or ride a taxi (7 minutes, 1,000 Yen).

Keikyu Airport Line + Yamanote Line

Ride the Keikyu Airport Line to the Sinagawa Station (JPY 410, 11 mins). At the Sinagawa Station, switch to Yamanote Line for Shin Okubo Station (JPY 194, 22 mins). From the Shin Okubo Station, please follow the directions given above.

Narita Airport

Limousine Bus

Ride a limousine bus from the airport to the Shinjuku Station (JPY 3,300, 100 mins). From the Shinjuku Station, you can either walk 15 minutes or ride a taxi (7 minutes, 1,000 Yen).

Skyliner / Keisei / Narita Express

Ride the Skyliner or Keisei Line or Narita Express from the airport to the Nippori Station. At the Nippori Station, switch to the JR Yamanote Line for Shin Okubo station (JPY 165, 19 mins). From the Shin Okubo Station, please, follow directions for Shin Okubo Station given above.

Skyliner (JPY 2,430, 45 mins), Keisei Line (JPY 1,240, 70 mins), Narita Express (JPY 1,800, 90 mins)

Access Narita Bus

Ride the Access Narita Bus (JPY 1,000, 70 mins) for the Ginza Station (Terminal 1: bus platform #31, Terminal 2: bus platform #2, #19). At the Ginza station, ride the Marunouchi Subway Line for Shinjuku 3 Chome Station (JPY 195, 14 mins). From the Shinjuku 3 Chome Station, you can either walk for 15 minutes or take a taxi.

The Metropolitan Building is indeed the Tokyo government building. You can tour the observatory on the highest floor, which offers panoramic views of Tokyo and its surroundings. Additionally, visitors can collect tour information and maps there to help plan their exploration of the city.

Shinjuku Gyeon was originally a private garden for a royal family. Now, it is a national park.

Kabukicho is indeed a vibrant entertainment district in Tokyo, known for its plethora of host and hostess clubs, love hotels, shops, restaurants, and nightclubs. Golden Gai and Samurai Museum are a few of the famous attractions.

Koreatown (Shin Okubo) is really interesting place to visit, even though you are not into Korean idols nor spicy Korean food. Interesting spots are Korean cosmetic shops, SHOWBOX, street foods, Korean restaurants, and Don Quijote.

The Samurai swords and armor are displayed.

Small area for architectural interest and nightlife. Composed of six narrow alleyways with about 200 small bars.

Almost every year, the restaurant is ranked about 10th by NHK survey. Little front garden is well decorated with real flowers. The most popular menu is pork bone soup which is known as Gamjatang.
